Overview of the Issuing Authority

The National Healthcareer Association (NHA) is one of the largest allied health certification providers in the nation. Since 1989, it has awarded over one million certifications and is validated and nationally recognized as providing students with the required level of knowledge to succeed in their chosen careers.

Certification requirements

To be eligible to test for their CEHRS exam, candidates must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed an electronic health records training or education program within the last five years or have at least 1 year of supervised work experience in the electronic health records field within the last 3 years.
