Overview of the Issuing Authority

The American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group (AHDPG) established the AMSP certification in 2011. They were created in order to provide support so that doctors can focus on their patients.

Certification requirements

To be eligible to test for their AMSP, candidates must successfully pass the Medical Scribe Certification Exam (MSCE) and have less than 200 hours of documented front-line medical scribe experience.
